Save Tangmere Tower is a dedicated heritage fundraising campaign aiming to restore the derelict World War Two control tower at the former RAF Tangmere airfield near Chichester in West Sussex.

Fighter squadrons from RAF Tangmere played a crucial role in the defence of the nation during the Battle of Britain, and the control tower acted as a sector command post during the build-up and execution of the D-Day landings in 1944. The control tower has been derelict since the air base closed in the 1970s and is now in a perilous state.

We would like to see it returned to its operational condition and put to a new use for the local community, please support us!

Your generous support has now allowed us to embark on the first vital stage in the restoration of the tower. We have engaged an architectural consultancy to carry the project forward and it is now time to start the second round of fundraising to get us to the first RIBA stage in the project planning process. Your donation will help us to realise our ambition to save this historic and iconic building.
